The information below pertains to information from the 2005 U.S. Presidential Inauguration, and links to some external sites may no longer be working.  Information for inaugural tickets for the January 2009 inauguration will tentatively be updated when information become available.

Tickets for the inaugural swearing-in ceremony are scarce, but there are a few ways to obtain them.  Tickets to some events may be provided free by Representatives and Senators.  Use the two search links below to find your local officials and ask whether any tickets are available.

By now, it will be rather difficult to obtain tickets, but here's a tip: try requesting tickets from the office of a Democratic Senator or Representative (they generally experience less demand for tickets; read this), or else have your name put on your Senator or Representative's ticket waiting list (offices which have run out of tickets may be allocated more from other officials who have extra).  Links to request forms for a few representatives are also listed further down on this page, as are links to getting press credentials.
