on 2008-11-24 15:58:03 what is the approximate cost to the taxpayers for the inaguration, all the 'official' balls and all the other official aka paid for by taxpayers events surrounding the inauguration this time? with the economy going down the gurgler seems to me it should be scaled back by a huge amount to show the people that things really will be different in Washington. with folks losing their jobs, their homes and having difficulty finding enough money to eat, i guess 9 official balls for the pres and his best buddys is the least they could scale back.
